Girly Things You Need
Obviously, you don’t need these products to be a girl. As a girl who loves to shop, give presents, and go to Platos Closet every week, I want to share some of my favorite products. I want to clarify, that this blog is not sponsored whatsoever. I truly love these girly items, and want to show them to you all!
A Cosmetic Bag
A cosmetic bag is game-changing, I never stopped using mine. I actually use the same cosmetic bag that a friend gave me for my 10th birthday party, and it saves my butt sometimes. It holds my makeup, hairbrush, and accessories perfectly and allows me to carry it wherever I go. Need a quick touch-up after the beach or the gym? I’ll bring my cosmetic bag and leave it in the car! Got called in for work but slept over at someone’s house? Good thing I brought my makeup! There are multiple brands you can get like Lululemon, but you can also sew one together yourself. A literal zip-lock works too. It is a great way to carry products with you!
A Bag That Holds Everything
I promise I am not just going to recommend bags to you this whole blog. But my personalized bag that holds daily items like Aquaphor, film camera, AirPods, books, and portable chargers has got me feeling like a cool mom. I feel like I have everything in my bag, and it feels like everyone counts on me for bringing it. And I love it. I currently use this bag from Amazon, and I seriously suggest it.
If there was one app I had to choose to keep it would be Pinterest. I use Pinterest for everything. I make boards for photo inspiration, 1970’s Broncos (my dream car), reading recommendations, and cute words in French. I feel like Pinterest is so versatile that it expands creativity and inspiration to girls effectively. If my favorite app didn’t exist, I would have the motivation to get things done. A Record Player
This one is for my music lovers. My family loves music so I have 3 record players in my house: One in my room, study room, and living room. Having a record player expanded my musical taste and exposed me to old-school music as well. I can now turn on my town’s “old school” radio station and sing along to every song. Also, just putting on a cute outfit and going to a record store is one of the best experiences ever. My collection of records keeps growing, and soon I’m going to need a bigger box to hold them.
An Oversized Hoodie (bonus points if it’s the Girlhoodie)
A traveled-size blanket that counts as a piece of clothing? Heck yes! An oversized hoodie is one of the best articles of clothing created. It’s both comfortable and adorable, and you can match it with any bottom. If you want to give off the “I woke up like this” look, pair it with some biker shorts! You can even make the hoodie look dressier with a tennis skirt. We are launching our own hoodie, the “Girlhoodie”, on September 8th! The Girlhoodie is an essential that you have to get, and I’m so excited to see everyone wear a great message.
An Emotional Support Water Bottle
I have gone through four hydro flasks, and I realized that I needed to find a water bottle that really matched me. I found my “life is good” water bottle at the store Sierra, and immediately asked my mom if she could buy it. Now, I don’t go anywhere without it. I have grown some sort of attachment to a water bottle, and it’s a reminder to be safe and healthy.
A Journal
I used to journal my thoughts when something significant happened in my life. Now it is just tucked away, and I don’t know what to write about. Authors call this “writer's block” but I am 100% not an author. However, I recommend every girl carry around a journal. The journal travels through life with you, helps you reflect, and holds memories. Writing this makes me want to pick it up again.
A Digital Camera
Digital cameras bring your cute Instagram photos up a notch. There is something about taking it out, snapping a photo, and waiting for it to be uploaded to your computer. My digital camera is like a time travel machine, when I see the pictures I’m transported back into that moment.
